Vintage Arabia Finland Large Mushroom Motif Casserole Dish with Lid - Kaj Franck

The iconic mushroom motif on this oval covered casserole was designed by Kaj Franck for Arabia Finland in the 1950's and 60's. Featuring detailed, textured, and sylized dark brown mushroom illustrations on a glossy white ceramic background. Includes the rare matching white lid. A coveted and highly collectible piece of Mid-Century Modern Scandinavian design!

The whimsical mushrooms incorporate swirls, dots, stripes, and geometric details. A gorgeous accent for fall decorating, an autumn tablescape, or a cottage-inspired kitchen.

Small production holes are present on the lid knob and under side handles. Gold foil label remnants remain on the underside. No chips or cracks. The base and the contact surfaces along the underside of the lid and dish rim are unglazed, giving these areas a different texture and appearance from the pristine and glossy exterior.
